Kodie's Blessing

What an exciting day! We blessed Kodie on Sunday. Jared gave her a name and a blessing. He did such a good job. I am so proud of him. It was a beautiful blessing. As soon as Jared took Kodie up to the front, Kaden decided he needed to go to the bathroom. I was trying to tell him to wait until dad was done, but he said he couldn't as he started screaming. I wasn't sure what I was going to do. I didn't want to miss Kodie's blessing but I didn't want Kaden peeing his pants there at church. (That wouldn't be good). Thankfully my friend from the ward, who apparently was watching everything, stepped over to rescue me. She grabbed Kaden before he could put up a fight and took him to the bathroom for me. What a life saver. The rest of the day was wonderful. My family and Jared's family came over to our home for some dinner and good times. Thanks family for all your help in making this day so wonderful. It was nice to have you all here.

Christmas Time

Yeah. It's finally Christmas time. I love this time of year. Kaden is so excited. Everyday he asks if Santa is coming today. We put up our tree and lights last weekend. Jared put some presents for the kids under the tree and Kaden has to check them out everyday, wondering what's inside. It is so much fun! I can't wait to watch him open his presents on Christams day! In the meantime there is lots of fun Christmas Parties and festivities to do. It's so easy to forget the real meaning of Christmas with all the sparkling lights and glitter. I'm so blessed. I have a wonderful (healthy) family, Good Friends and neighbors, and a warm roof over my head. What more could I ask for. Thanks to all of you for being so great. Have a fun Holiday Season!!!!

Kodie is 1 Month Old

Wow I can't believe Kodie is already 1 month old. She has changed so much. It's amazing how much they grow and change in such a short amount of time. I hardly remember what life was like before she came into our lives. I love having her.... She is so sweet (until 2 a.m.).

Kaden loves being Big Brother..... However, he still trying to adjust. I often feel guilty that I don't spend as much time with him as I used to. Right now I feel that all my time is on Kodie... Always feeding her. I'm sure it will balance out as she gets older. I'm grateful for Jared, he is so good with Kaden. Kaden can't wait for him to come home so that he can wrestle and play. If anyone has any advise on how to make this transition easier for me, I would be grateful.

Kodie McKenna Larson

Busy October

Well I'm finally making time to update my blog. Sorry this month has been so busy, and it's all I can do to get my laundry done. Well this last month Kaden turned 3!!!! And he is also potty trained!!! What a big boy. I've been trying to get him to use the potty for so long, everyone told me that one day it would click and he would start using the bathroom. They were right. He has done so good, but I guess it had to be his own idea. The Buzz Lightyear outfit helped I think, cause it makes him feel big and he didn't want to pee in his buzz costume. Three days after Kaden's birthday Kodie McKenna arrived. I couldn't have asked for a better delivery. We checked into the hospital at 3:30 am and she arrived at 7:28 am. Everything went very smooth and quick. (which is nice) . I am so blessed She is our little angel... She weighed 5 lb. 13 oz. and was 17 1/2 inch long. We are so excited to have her here. Kaden loves being a big brother and is so protective of her. I was a little worried that he wouldn't like her, but he is so good with her. It sure is different having two little ones. I'm not going to lie.. It definitely is harder than I thought it would be. Im sure it will get better as we all adjust and as Kodie gets bigger and on some sort of schedule. But right now I'm tired, feel like a milk cow, and can't get anything done. But you know.... I wouldn't trade anything in the world for what I have now and for the family that I have. I am so thankful for Jared and all the help that he is. I couldn't do it without him. I truly am blessed and I love being a mom.

Kaden is 3!!!!! Happy Birthday!

Kaden's favorite part about his birthday was the "Lightning McQueen" car that was on top of his cake. We also went to Jumpin' Jacks and played on all the balloon toys. He Loved it. (In case your wondering... He still thinks he is Buzz Lightyear).

Happy Halloween

Is Summer Over

Wow... I can't believe how fast this summer has flown by, especially August. I can't wait for fall. I love the fall time. I'm getting excited for October to come. I'm ready for Little Sister to be here, and ready to be done being pregnant. The last month seems to be the hardest. I can't complain too much. This pregnancy hasn't been bad at all and everything seems to be going well. She is measuring right on and wiggling all the time. Kaden is so funny, his sister (in his tummy) wiggles too. He lets me feel her when she wiggles. The other day, while giving him a bath, he told me his belly button was dirty. So I told him to wash it out with his washcloth. He told me that he couldn't cause it was sister's feet coming out and it would get her wet. It's so funny the things little ones think of and say.
Well this past month and a half have been busy. Jared has been busy bow hunting with his friends. Which is nice for me cause it gives me a good excuse to go visit my parents. Kaden loves going to Pappa Jeff and Nanny Ann's house. Pappa Jeff took us fishing one Saturday. It was fun. Unfortunately we didn't catch anything, but the jeep ride up the canyon was fun.
This last weekend we went to the State Fair. Fairs sure do bring out the best of all people! It's a great place to people watch. Kaden loved looking at all the animals and riding the rides. I think his favorite one was the blow up castle that kids can jump in. We could've let him jump all night and he would have been happy. He's still talking about it today.

Just Getting Started.....

Well Stacy got me started blogging.... So now where to begin. I guess I'll start by telling more about our family. Jared is a wonderful husband, not to mention my best friend. He keeps busy working at a steel fabricating company. He just finished playing in a softball league with a bunch of his buddies, which was a lot of fun. He also enjoys the outdoors, especially anything that has to do with hunting and fishing. I work part time for an oral surgeon as an assistant and mom-wife full time. I love my jobs. I also started selling Scentsy candles last month. It's something new to try. So we'll see how that works out. Kaden gets to play with his friends at daycare and his nan while I go to work. He loves getting together with his little friends. Kaden will be three in October and we are still trying to get him to sleep through the night, not to mention potty training. He is always on another adventure. Mostly saving the world...He thinks he is Buzz Lightyear! The rest of us get to be Zurg man. He also loves wrestling with dad, playing with his cars, and going swimming. He is always making us laugh. We are also getting excited for our Little Sister to join us sometime in October. Her due date is on the 21st! The middle of Jared's deer hunt of course. I can't wait for a little girl. I think Jared is tired of me painting Kade's toe nails.
